Including the Lower Neponset on this list, and the federal support that will come with that listing, is the only way legacy pollution from Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs) trapped in the river bottom sediments will be removed. (Multilingual EPA Fact Sheets about the site may be found here.)

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email from EPA containing information about joining the meeting. If you have any technical issues or specific needs, please feel free to reach out to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Community Involvement Coordinator, ZaNetta Purnell at purnell.zanetta@epa.gov

We hope you will attend this important meeting (and encourage others to attend) not only to support this listing, but also to ensure communities along the Lower Neponset are included in what we hope will be a robust public engagement process.

Additionally, EPA will be accepting written public comments on the proposed listing through November 8, 2021.
