A few weeks ago we set out some very ambitious goals for what we hope to do in 2017, from helping our communities get ready for continued drought, eliminating water pollution hot spots, to restoring stream habitats, and building on our successful stormwater partnership (read the details here).
We set an equally ambitious fundraising goal to make it happen—an extra $50,000 over what we raised last year from our individual members and donors—to fund an expansion of our science and advocacy staff.
I’m pleased to report that three weeks into our campaign, as of November 30, we have already received gifts or pledges for $19,321 more than last year from 137 families across the watershed!
A tremendous “thank you” to everyone who has donated or pledged so far, and to the many people that responded to our Giving Tuesday email campaign. It’s our members, volunteers, board and municipal and corporate partners that make progress on the Neponset possible and we are grateful for your support!
We still have a long way to go before 12/31, but I know that if we all do a little, we can reach our goal of a cleaner, healthier, more accessible Neponset River for ourselves, our children and our community.
Thank you!
