Thanks for your Quarters!

Thanks to everyone who visited the Franklin Park Zoo this spring and supported the Watershed Association through the Zoo’s Quarters for Conservation Program!

The Neponset was one of four programs that Zoo visitors could choose to support over the last six months, and more than 20,000 visitors chose to use their quarter to support habitat restoration projects in the Neponset Watershed, including our work on herring restoration, trout restoration and invasive species control.

zoo new englandThe Franklin Park Zoo is a wonderful educational resource for families in Massachusetts, and staff and volunteers at the Zoo have been a big help along the river with invasive species control projects, river cleanups, streamflow monitoring and other activities over the years.

Special thanks goes to the Zoo’s Conservation Committee for selecting the Neponset as one of their featured projects.
