Spring is Time for Renewal

The river comes alive in the spring, and it's a great time to renew your commitment to keeping your local waterways clean and healthy.

With spring finally here, the Neponset’s rainbow smelt will soon be coming upstream to spawn, and our water testing volunteers will be dusting off their sampling equipment in just a few weeks.

It’s also time to renew your membership in the Watershed Association or become a member for the first time!

Your membership dues are our most important funding source for river protection!

In fact your dues are the ONLY funding source for advocacy projects like challenging poorly conceived development projects, restoring herring and shad runs to the Neponset after hundreds of years, and many of our most important issues.

Just as importantly, being a member keeps you connected to what’s happening through our newsletter, emails, volunteer activities, and recreational outings.

We have ambitious plans for 2019, like:

  • Restoring habitats for native brook trout by removing stream barriers on Pine Tree and Traphole Brooks.
  • Expanding our award-winning school education program that reaches more than 1,500 students across the watershed.
  • Reducing water pollution by helping our communities combat polluted stormwater runoff.

Make an investment in your family and your community, by joining the Watershed Association or renewing your membership today!
