Over two dozen species of birds were identified recently at Fowl Meadow in Milton.

Autumn birding in Fowl Meadow, Milton.

On Sunday morning October 5, NepRWA Board Member Les Tyrala led an enthusiastic group of early birds (ha) into the Fowl Meadow in Milton to go birding.

The group identified 25 different species of birds, through sight or by bird song, including:

Canada Goose
Turkey Vulture
Northern Harrier
Red-tailed Hawk
Ring-billed Gull
Downy Woodpecker
Northern Flicker
Red-eyed Vireo
Eastern Phoebe
Blue Jay
American Crow
Black-capped Chickadee
Tufted Titmouse
White-breasted Nuthatch
Carolina Wren
Black and White Warbler
American Robin
Gray Catbird
European Starling
Cedar Waxwing
Warbler sp. yellowish
Song Sparrow
Northern Cardinal
Baltimore Oriole
American Goldfinch
