Sat. Feb 23: Nuts About Ducks, Quincy – 2pm

The Quincy Park Department’s Environmental Treasure Program presents

“Nuts About Ducks!” with Les Tyrala and Sally Owen

Sat., February 23, 2 P.M.
(Rain date: Sunday, February 24, 2 p.m.)

You don’t have to go to Alaska or northern Canada to see some incredibly beautiful, exotic-looking sea ducks.  They are visiting us during the winter along our coast! Loons, grebes, eiders, mergansers, scoters, and goldeneyes are some of the birds that we hope to see.

Meet at the white pavilion in the Squantum Point Park parking lot.  Take E. Squantum St., turn left on to Victory Road in Marina Bay, proceed straight through first rotary and then take the next left on the Haul Road to enter the park.

Bring binoculars, scope and tripod if you have them and dress warmly!

Optional stroll around Squantum Point Park to view the spectacular views at the mouth of the Neponset River following our search for ducks from the pier.
