Friend of the Neponset,
NepRWA's
core goal is a healthy Neponset River and watershed. Even
though our river faces serious challenges, our recent
successes convince me there is tremendous opportunity for
progress right now.
I'm
writing with a special urgency this year to ask you to
become a contributing NepRWA member. In the past, we have
been able to count on state and foundation grants to
supplement your contributions, but given the economy, these
grants are all but drying up.
The
only way to move our ambitious agenda forward is to
strengthen our base of support from people like you - people
who understand the value of a healthy environment for our
families and our future. This year, more than ever, we need
your help.
We
are proud of our achievements, and over the last few months,
we have carefully considered how best to build on past
successes.
To
better recognize and engage our most generous members, we
recently created the "Neponset Society" for those
contributing $500 or more per year. Now, through a special
Challenge Fund, the gifts of Neponset Society donors will be
matched, to jumpstart our transition from grants to more
grassroots support.
I
hope you will consider joining the Neponset Society with a
gift or pledge of $500 or more. You'll be leveraging our
Challenge Fund to double the impact of your gift!
But, every
