River Art

2007

On a sunny, blue-skied afternoon in early fall, visitors explored the cultural and natural history of the Neponset River Watershed on the scenic grounds of the Forbes House Museum in Milton. They perused the colorful works of professional artisans and fine artists, as well as the plein air art of local high school students, accompanied local naturalist Tom Palmer on a guided nature tour overlooking the Neponset Estuary, toured the historic rooms of the Forbes House Museum, participated in canoe rides at Milton Landing on the Estuary, listened to classic rock performed by the band Murphy's Kitchen, and looked over the shoulder of a plein air artist. Children engaged in nature and craft activities, assisted by volunteers from the Forbes House Museum, the Neponset River Watershed Association, and local high schools.

Thank you to everyone for participating in River Art! Please join us again next year.
